SIMONE & GEORGES
In 2008, Marianne (aka Simone) took advantage of an internship in Tanzania to discover the charms of East Africa. There she discovered a wonderful fabric: Kikoy or Kikoi. Back in France, she brought back a few Kikoys in her suitcase and suggested to her brother Jean-Baptiste (aka Georges) that they set up a small company to sell some of them.
Neither one nor two, one table and two trestles later, Marianne and JB are going to the markets in the South-West to present Kikoy, still little-known in France. The Kikoy meets its audience from the first summer. The concept is validated!
Back in Paris, when choosing their profession, they decided to create their own: Pareo Sellers. In a nod to their grandparents, they named their brand “Simone et Georges”.
