Color

The smart and efficient knife. Very practical for electrical work.

Its robust blade is equipped with a wire cutter (maximum diameter 5 mm) and a stripper (maximum diameter 8 mm). The handle has two oxidizable screwdriver bits that magnetically engage in the heel (flat/crosshead screwdriver).

Features :

  • Blade length: 8 cm
  • Sandvik's modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is renowned for its sharpness and ease of maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment which gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40% which allows you to obtain a very satisfactory cutting edge without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.
  • The handle is made of polyamide loaded with fiberglass which guarantees excellent resistance to shock and water. It has two standard bits: flat screwdriver (4 mm screw) and Phillips screwdriver (3.5 to 5 mm screw), as well as a magnetic bit holder at the end of the handle.
  • Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all closing knives from No. 06 onwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety of use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety of transport).
