Set of 2 paring knives n°112
- Description
The most used knife deserves a replacement in your drawers. Slicing, slicing, peeling... paring knives are in high demand!
Wooden handle and 10 cm stainless steel blade.
Blade: Hardness 55-57 HRC. Origin Europe. The stainless steel of OPINEL blades is an optimized grade to guarantee both high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical performance. The blade offers excellent sharpness and high resistance to abrasion (wear) which allows it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before requiring resharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of requiring no special maintenance under ordinary use conditions, unlike carbon steel. However, it may encounter its limits when placed in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent, etc.).
Handle: Beech is the wood most used for manufacturing Opinel handles. Coming from French farms, it is hard, resistant and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is recognizable by the presence of numerous small dark lines. The handle is varnished to be better protected against humidity and dirt.
