Stool / Side table

Brutalism, simplicity and functionalism. In a word: multifunctionality. These are the characteristics of the works of the artist and concrete expert Frédérick Gautier. This object is very versatile: it can be used either as two ikebana vases, two stools or a coffee table. For Ux2, Frédérick Gautier was inspired by a font created by graphic designer Étienne Robial. The latter's logos, its accentuated graphic language and its striking typographies gave the designer the idea of ​​creating ceramic objects by hand from a typography. Here for Ux2, the two light gray concrete objects fitted together form a third, with an industrial finish. Frédérick Gautier wanted the lines and shapes of his creation to express themselves.
